Project Details

Description

The signature curve of a train only includes the axle loads and axle distances. It gives the opportunity to find out if a train for a given bridge will lead to resonance effects. Within this project for several bridges dynamic calculations for high speed trains were done and compared with the results based on the signature curve. As a summary, the signature curve cant substitute dynamic calculations for a train, but it is possible to detect critical bridges and also the critical train speed for a bridge.
