NOx_HTP - CFD simulations of hydrogen and oxygen enrichment for the decarbonization of furnaces in high-temperature processes

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Based on a multi-fuel oxidizer burner (order of magnitude 330 kW), CFD simulations with Fluent are to be carried out in a large combustion chamber at around 1200 °C - with different fuels (natural gas = NG and hydrogen = H2) and different oxidizers (air and oxygen = O2) or mixtures of the two. In general, in addition to the measurement, the mass, energy and atomic balance must be closed in a stationary simulation. The main objective is to be able to simulate the NOx emissions.
