Oil/Paper Insulation Systems of Transformers

The behaviour of breakdown and creeping on different paper insulation used in high-voltage transmission transformers is investigated. The aim of this investigation is to optimize not only the design of already applied but also of new paper insulation systems. In addition to this investigation, the influence (partial discharge and disruptive strength) of interfering conductive particles located inside the paper insulation are examined to avoid prematurely failures during operation.
