Description

New paper testing methods, partly using modern image analysis techniques, are applied in order to allow deeper understanding of the physical phenomenons influencing printing results in offset, rotogravure and flexo printing. A general focus of the research is the interrelation between paper structure and print appearence. The key approach to analyze these interrelations is analysis of correlations between local paper properties and the local paper structure. The local variations of paper properties are evaluated and analyzed with respect to their impact on the local print appearence.
