Partial discharge (PD) measuring technique (finished)

In the field of PD investigations the response or transmission characteristics of high voltage equipments and systems are of the interest in general. Specially in gas insulated switchgear the diagnostic of PD is increasingly used, because in this high voltage plants PD can reduce the impulse strength essentially. Under the stress of the electrical field small nitrogenious filled glass balls generate PD in nearly constant characteristics. The direct measurement of PD at the place of their origin in the equipment is not possible therefore this question can be analysed by using nearly constant and/or well known charge injectors, which are implanted in high voltage test setups and later for example in a GIS, where monitoring systems are used.
