Peaktracking in HPLC. Comparative Studies to Automated Peak Tracking.

    Project: Research project

    Project Details

    Description

A fully automated optimization of HPLC-separation parameters requires information about the change of a component´s retention with the variation of chromatographie variables. For this purpose a computer programm (written in Turbo Pascal 5.5.) has been designed which assigns the identity of the signals of a reference chromatogram to any other chromatogram of the same sample even under conditions of peak overlap, similar peak areas or reversal of elution order. The features of this program have been compared to the performance of a previonusly developed peak tracking program based on fuzzy set theory resulting in a discussion of advantages resp. disadvantages of the individual algorithms.
