Description
During the sinter process of varistor ceramics, various phases of different chemical composition are formed. These phases, which can be as small as a few nanometers, can significantly influence the electric behavior of the material. Hence phase identification has to be carried out with an AEM using EDX, EELS, and EFTEM.
