Pulp Fiber Morphology

Project: Research area

Project Details

Description

Pulp Fiber Morphology is a key influence factor on the properties of the paper produced from the pulp. We are investigating pulp fiber morphology and its interrelations to the pulping and papermaking process as well as its influence on paper properties. This field of work covers refining, fractionation, pulping and bleaching as well as fiber morphology, fiber flexibility, flocculation and fiber wall damage. Furthermore 3-dimensional analysis of fiber cross sectional morphology is investigated.
