Description

The application of radioactively labelled compounds in medicine, chemistry, bio/technology and other sciences requires the mandatory monitoring of exact individual doses of radioactivity for all people being potentially exposed to radiation. In personal dosimetry, primarily thermoluminescent dosemeters are used. In a cooperative project with the ARCS-Seibersdorf, programs and routines are developed which help to discover and eliminate irregularities of the readouts from the dosemeters which may originate from various external sources. This should help to maintain accuracy of the dosimetric results which are of legal relevance.
