Brain imaging methods such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) or electroencephalogram-based (EEG) source localization have revolutionized brain research. The aim of this project is to gain better understanding of motor control and motor learning by combining the advantages of both techniques. By using such a multimethodic and interdisciplinary approach, we will study brain activity and connectivity changes in stroke survivors that are induced by therapeutical intervention. More precisely, we will investigate resting-state networks and neuro-plasticity in the context of gait rehabilitation.
