Renewable Energies in Liberalized Electricity Market

The renewable energies have obtained an important upvaluation on September 27th 2001 due to the signature of the guideline for forcing renewable energies by the EU. The background of this guideline concerning renewable energies is among other things justified by the green book to the supply reliability of the European Union. This green book shows, when continuing the "business ase usual", that the import dependence of the EU is going to rise from at present 50% to approximately 70% in twenty years. Our department is looking forward to investigate the practicable methods for the economic use of renewable energies.
