SIMPLE - Road Safety IMProvement for vulnerabLE users

Real-time perception of the traffic situation is an important technical support solution in traffic management. The aim of SIMPLE is to recognize and close gaps in the detection of road users and dangerous situations for an optimal protection of vulnerable road users. Based on the results of the FFG project SIMMARC, the development of a demonstrator system with enhanced and improved real-time capability and functionality is planned. This system is expected to meet the requirements of continuous operation, scalable to different intersection topologies, and provides near real-time multisensor data and the information derived from it.
