SR5_Realworld_FC - Fuel consumption measurement of light and heavy commercial vehicles and monitoring of real-world consumption

A consortium is carrying out research on measuring the fuel consumption of light- and heavy-duty vehicles and monitoring their real-world fuel consumption for the invitation. The consortium understands that the scope of the study is to develop detailed procedures for monitoring and assessing real-world CO2 emissions of both LDV and HDV through the collection of real-world fuel and/or energy consumption data from OBFCM devices, as set in the relevant regulations, Regulation (EU) 2019/631 for LDV and Regulation (EU) 2019/XXX1 for HDV. The study aims to draft technical requirements and procedures for use in a regulatory context for the following topics: Accuracy of OBFCM devices, On-board monitoring of HDV payload, Standardisation of on-board data, recording and retrieval, procedure for collecting and processing real-world fuel consumption data.
