Sustainable development of post-war architecture

This research area deals with the sustainable further development of existing buildings of the 1960ies and 1970ies, in the field of architectural history (inventory, archival work), as well as in the fields of building redevelopment and structural engineering. The aim is to develop strategies and methods for a preservation of this building stock, the transfer the knowledge into the practice of planning offices and project developers and the suggestion of changes in building laws and norms related to planning in existing structures.
