Project Details

Description

Metallic nanoparticles are of interest in various scientific fields, e.g. optics, IR and Raman microscopy or for use in optoelectronical devices. In this work metallic nanoparticles of various shapes are directly prepared in an aqueous micellar solution using a seeding growth method. Gold, platinum and silver nanoparticles of controllable size and shape are prepared and characterized by electron diffraction, high resolution electron microscopy and optical near field microscopy.
