Description
The interaction of heat pumps and building integrated PV to level the electric loads and the
optimized purchase and feed in of electricity in the grid will be an important issue for smart
grids in future. Such interactions are examined in The Bat and respective concepts are
developed.
The development bases upon elaborated combinations and interaction of the thermal
masses of the building and the heating system und the user-optimized energy management
system using predictive control.
The results will be realized both in a functional model with direct DC coupling of PV to a
modulating heat pump and in laboratory tests of the control systems.
