TRIP - Simulation-Based Training for AI-based Interior Planning

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The aim of TRIP is the successful proof that simulation mechanisms for gaining comprehensive training data are sufficient for the automatic modeling of 3D environments. The use case is furniture design and interior architecture. The project relies on AI methods for the detection of furnishings and "Diminished Reality" methods including inpainting to create the empty state in the model. The solutions should allow a step-by-step integration into manual workflows in order to use automatic procedures without drastically changing user patterns.
