Project Details

Description

Vexcels new digital aerial camera offers the possibility to capture high redundant, high resolution (11500x7500) 12 bits/pixel aerial images. The available panchromatic as well as spectral information (R,G,B, and NIR) are used to classify the image into different regions which steer all further processing tasks. Depending on the land-use classification different approaches are used to calculate POIs for an automated aerial triangulation. The registered aerial images together with known control and tie points are used in a dense image matching process to obtain a dense heightfield for orthophoto generation. Both the land-use classification as well as the heigthfield are the source for further extraction of objects into different layers like buildings, trees, roads and water regions.
