Description

Usability is a field of human-computer interaction involved with making interfaces easier to use. ISO 9241-11 defines usability as "The extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of use." Usability engineering is a methodology for producing usable interfaces, which includes techniques such as creating personas, paper prototyping, heuristic evaluation, thinking aloud testing, and formal experiments.
