The research work concentrates on the anatomically correct modeling of complex, irregular arterial flow domains and on the simulation of the influence of different arterial flow patterns taking into account the interactions between different physiological levels. The analysis of the fluid-structure interaction effects resulting from blood vessel deformation and dynamics, occurring during the pulse cycle due to the mechanical vessel wall properties and occurring during the cardiac cycle due to the heart motion is directly related to the arterial flow and transport studies under different conditions. not assigned KP: RTN Project HaeMOdel, partnership
