Project Details
Description
VIP Vienna Region (Verkehrsinformationsprojekt Vienna Region) is a research project funded by the Austrian Ministry of Transportation and Research in order to improve traffic information services in the region of VIenna. One task is to identify technologies for exchanging data on travel related events and incidents between control centres. Currently different standards such as DATEX2, TPEG and SIRI are standarized on a European level to exchange travel information between motorway operators respectively public transport operators. We try to combine these different standards to operate it within multi-modal travel information.
