Voltage Dips

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

A high level of electric power supply needs adequate power quality and reliability. Voltage dips lead to a strong decrease of power quality. With the network data and the fault statistics of the network, the expected number of voltage dips per year and the distribution of their amplitudes and durations can be estimated without time consuming measurement campaigns. The results can be used for an optimal design of a dynamic voltage restorer (DVR). Furthermore an estimation of the failure costs for customers is possible. not assigned KP: Elektrizitätsversorgungsunternehmen
