WERI - Value analysis of an inverter

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The company develops and produces inverters for use in industry and the home worldwide. These inverters vary in size and functionality depending on the customer's requirements. However, in the case of a newly launched model designed for small businesses, agriculture and multi-family homes, it is unclear which functions are actually required by customers and what costs are incurred by the functions offered. The aim of the value analysis project is to identify the individual functions of this inverter model, to present the costs of the respective functions transparently and to derive optimization potentials. The identified optimization potentials are collected in a catalog of ideas. These ideas are then used to develop value-enhancing overall concepts.
