Abstract
This work presents a method for evaluating hysteresis loss in permanent magnet synchronous machines. The proposed method eliminates the need for time-step simulations, necessitating only a modest number of magnetostatic simulations while maintaining the influence of the hysteretic media in the solution. The methodology is evaluated on a problem pertinent to the industry, and the results are compared to data sheet values, yielding promising outcomees.
