Abstract
Polymer-metal hybrid (PMH) structures are uniquely designed and manufactured to combine the advantageous properties of each material component into a single structure. In this way, these structures can combine the mechanical strength of metals with the lightness and resilience of polymers. They are used in a variety of industries, including transportation, domestic appliances, energy, and biomedical. Additive manufacturing is an essential technique for producing components with complex geometries and submillimeter-scale dimensional precision. Moreover, it has been utilized to join PMH using the so-called AddJoining technique, where polymer is deposited directly onto a metal substrate during 3D printing.
