Abstract

In many member states of the ENTSO-E grid, the Fault Ride Through capability, i.e. the ability of a power generation plant to withstand a fault with a certain voltage dip and fault duration in a stable manner, is required on the basis of a simulation, where a measurement is not reasonable. Accordingly, the question arises which parameters and constellations are necessary to perform such a simulation. This paper provides results on the influence of various parameters, which are uncertain or have a certain tolerance range, and the recommendation of the constellation for worst-case estimation based on a simulation calculation.
