Automated Reconfiguration of an Assembly Line – Prototypical Implementation in the smartfactory@tugraz. Productions have to cope with ever shorter production cycles, high fluc-tuations in demand and more frequent product changes. This requires agile and modular design of production systems so that the ef-fort for reconfiguring the system is as low as possible. In this paper, the concept for an automated reconfiguration of a production with a modular layout is presented. The prototypical implementation of this concept is done in the smartfactory@tugraz.
