Abstract
The verification of the fault ride through capability, FRT for short, in Austria is required by the TOR-Erzeuger guidelines through a simulation. For the verification of the FRT capability it is necessary to generate voltage dips and to assess the stability based on the dynamic behavior of the power generation plant. This paper deals with the influence of different simulation methods for the generation of a voltage dip and their effect on the stability of a hydro generator.
