Abstract
Over the past decades supply chains in global markets transformed into complex supply networks incorporating high supply risk for buying firms. The supply risk is determined by the number of lower-tier suppliers occupying critical positions. This literature-based research presents determinants which are granting a lower-tier supplier the status “critical”.
