DICHY: The Digital Image Correlating HYdra

Research output: Contribution to conferencePoster

Abstract

One
small system setup measuring 3 D displacements target less and full face has incredible advantages in all fields of monitoring By having full face 3 D
measurements the exact movement amount and direction can be defined for every point in the monitoring area Using DICHY, not only dangerous target placement is
history, also full face instead of pointwise monitoring is performed Knowing the exact movement direction and amount of every part of a monitoring site makes pre
calculation, simulation and prevention of failure possible Up to now, full face and target less 3 D monitoring could only be performed using 2 instruments positioned at
predefined locations, causing troubles in terms of safety, accessibility and connection Combining digital image correlation ( with GB InSAR (Ground Based
Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar), both systems can be set up at any spot having visual view to the monitoring area
