Abstract

Cable shields and/or PEN conductors create interconnected earthing systems in medium-voltage networks. In this paper, the total impedance to earth of the interconnected systems is used as an essential factor for the verification of the permis-sible touch voltages in such interconnected systems. The some important parameters of such earthing systems on the impedance to earth are analysed by calculation and measurement.
