Abstract
Frequency tripling in Ar and Kr crystals yielding VUV radiation at 10.494, 10.9876, 11.1055, 11.210 and 13.156 eV is reported for the first time. The conditions determining the conversion efficiency in the present investigation and improvements for future applications are discussed.
