Abstract

With the certainty of the high share of power electronics in power grid, algorithms for various grid forming inverters have emerged in academia. Due to the grid synchronization strategy of the grid forming inverter is completely different from the current grid following inverters, its dynamic characteristics during grid faults are also different. This article presents a universal approach to analysis the dynamic characteristic of grid following inverters during and after low voltage ride through by using power angle curve analysis method.
