Abstract
Increasing global warming and how to reduce it are issues for which scientists and engineers must find solutions as soon as possible. Nowadays the discussion affects nearly all areas. Of course, the nature of future mobility is also in the focus. It covers all areas from cars, trucks, and ships to airplanes. Unfortunately, the topic is complex, cross-system, political, and ideological. Many things can only be solved with the help of joint international efforts. This article discusses the possibilities of alternative propulsion systems for aircraft.
