Abstract

The challenges in achieving cubic Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO) thin films are related to the phase purity caused by Li loss during high energy depositions and heat treatment. As recently reported in Nature Energy, Pfenninger et al. used Li3N interlayers between LLZO as a Li source for compensation and obtained fast-conducting cubic LLZO at ultra-low process temperatures.
