Abstract
Until 2030 the Austrian federal government aims at increasing the share of renewable electricity to 100%. As of 2019, RES-E held a share of 75.1%1 in total electricity generation in Austria. To bridge the gap an expansion of 27 TWh of renewable electricity production is aspired (11 TWh photovoltaics, 10 TWh wind, 5 TWh hydro and 1 TWh biomass). This Fact-Sheet gives an overview of the current status quo of renewable electricity in Austria.
