Research output: Contribution to conferenceAbstract

Carbon nanoscrolls are spirally wrapped
graphene sheets with cylindri
cal structures that can be
made from graphite, through chemical intercalation and
exfoliation, or from monolayer graphene directly.
Theoretical studies have predicted unique electronic and
optical properties for these interesting carbon
nanostructures whose production, in macroscopic
amounts and at a high degree of purity, has been the
subject of recent investigations. In this paper we present
our approaches towards the chemical modification of
carbon nanoscrolls as a step further towards the
exploration of their physical properties and applications
