Abstract
The thermal conductivities as a function of temperature of the elements W, Re, Ta, Mo, Nb, Fe, Co, Ni, Au and Cu were studied in a temperature range covering the melting point and the liquid state. The thermal conductivities of these elements were estimated by means of simultaneous measurements of resistivity and density using a fast ohmic pulse-heating technique.
