Abstract

Thermophysical properties of solid and liquid Inconel 718 alloy were investigated as a function of temperature. Fast pulse heating technique was used. Results were compared with the results obtained by quasistatic methods. Results showed that pulse heating can be used for the analysis of this complex alloy system. For liquid alloys fast pulse heating is one of the rare methods of obtaining thermophysical properties of Inconel 718.
