Physical Geodesy: Geoid modelling

Determination of the geoid in the Austrian territory with an accuracy in the centimetre range by combination of different data types: gravimetric, astrogeodetic, GPS/levelling data, global gravity information from satellite data, and high-resolution digital terrain models. The results will be useful for the correction of GPS-determined heights to obtain orthometric heights. Special emphasis is given to theoretical and methodological considerations on the optimum combination of local and global gravity data types, as well as the development and investigation of corresponding methods.
