Abstract

In order to secure today‘s automotive freedom under the increasingly tight environmental constraints of the near future, the energy usage of all of a vehicle‘s components needs to be drastically reduced.
To reach these aims, this project jointly addresses the design of the mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-static parts of hydraulic systems across all levels of the design process.
In contrast to today’s systems, in which the electric drives are flanged onto pumps and fans, by proposing integrated concepts, the project allows to exploit all available space and to downsize the components through taking advantage of dynamic reserves within the system.
