Abstract
We present a prototype for an alarm clock app that is based on sonic interaction design, called the Expergefactor. It consists of two parts that solely rely on rotating the phone and receiving auditory feedback. In an awakening challenge, the mobile phone has to be rotated to find a random position following sonic clues. For setting the snoozing timer, the phone is turned and gives swelling sonic feedback for each minute more.
