Description

The aim of the Consortium for the Lifecycle Assessment of Transport Infrastructure (CAIT by its acronym in Spanish ) is to advance towards a sustainable infrastructure program in the subject of pavements, increasing the beneficial impacts (improved service life and/or better quality) and decreasing negative impacts (pollutants or resource extraction). With this goal in sight, three consolidated research groups of the Engineering Institute of the UNAM join in contribution: The Roadway Group; the Life Cycle Assessment, Climate Change and Sustaina-bility Group (LCCCS) and the Transportation Engineering & Logistics Group. The purpose of CAIT is to impulse the implementation of a sustainable transport infrastructure program in Mexico City.
