Description
This project aims at improving the interpretation of measurements with fibre optic sensors with respect to the crack width in reinforced concrete. Therefore, 5 beam-like specimens are cast and tested under axial tension load. The position of the cracks under observation is controlled by making notches into the specimens. For the purpose of calibrating various fibre optic sensors the crack widths are additionally measured by means of analogous electric sensors.
