Best Practice Guide of Double Skin Facades

This project intends to collect, investigate and assess built examples of double skin facades in European office buildings. Planning, simulated and measured energy data shall be compared. A double skin façade typology shall be developed and best practice examples for different require-ments detected. Based on that a best practice guide will be created to reach a broad target group e.g. architects, building developers, etc. to enable a European approach to double skin facades us-ing their advantages and avoiding expansive construction mistakes.
