Description

While the capabilities of computer-aided data acquisition and digital signal processing are ever improving, the accuracy requirements for electrical drive models are increasing, too. In this context, the saturation of the main and leakage inductances as well as the incorporation of iron losses and, if necessary, of possible asymmetries in the rotor winding resistances are of particular importance. The calculation of characteristic curves or curve sets for specific parameters ensures comprehensive insight into the behaviour of the machine. A modular structure of the model permits progressive extensions until the required accuracy of approximation is attained. The parameterisation method should be applicable to both simple and advanced models of slip ring or squirrel cage induction motors.
