Project Details
Description
The research project proposed addresses the acoustical behaviour of a car. The description of the relevant air-borne sound paths from the tyre/road contact up to the driver’s ear are in the focus. A hybrid computational-experimental framework allows to couple simulation-based results with their experimental counterparts to predict the vibro-acoustic behaviour of a full-system. Effects of acoustic lining treatments and the heavy damping layers, as well as the interchangeability of the simulation/test data will be specifically stressed.
