HF11-181_Functional coated venetian blinds on both sides - Development of a hybrid solar sensor system

A company contacted us with an innovative sun protection product, which shall also act as a winter warming protection. It is a hybrid venetian blind in the window glass inside and has two surfaces, which are coated differently as a summer and a winter side. Through the design as venetian blinds, the lighting requirements can also be taken into account at the same time by the lamellas being opened or even partially or completely upwards. The subdivision of the airspace with vented venetian blinds can also help to improve the nighttime heat protection. The building physics characteristics of multi-layer glazing with internal sun protection were advised. Under laboratory and free field conditions efficacy analyzes were investigated. Thus optimization potentials were shown on the prototype.
