Within the mutual project of the Institute of Experimental Physics, Graz Univ. of Technology, and the Institute of Photonics, Univ. of Technology Vienna, following research activities are planned: (1) Setup of a NdGlass Laser prototype according to the experiences of a previous project. (2) Demonstration of a oscillator-amplifier lasersystem to scale up laser pulse energy by maintaining pulse duration. (3) Construction of an optical multiplexer within the setup of the pump-fiber coupling with the goal of significant cost reduction. (4) Design and development of a fiber-laser-amplifier system for further enhancement of efficiency and cost reduction. (5) Optimization of the known principle of achieving multiple pulses from a single laser resonator in view of the already obtained results on engine measurements.
