Project Details
Description
Replacement of common graphite by graphene in lithium-ion batteries has the potential to increase batteries’ capacity. Not only pure graphene but also heteroatom doped graphene and composite materials show encouraging performances in lithium- and sodium-ion batteries. Beside graphene also other two-dimensional materials show promising electro chemical properties and could be used as anode materials. Major goal of the project is to investigate the generation of such materials by the so-called liquid phase exfoliation.
